SafeHaven is seeking a Director of Shelter Services.

This position provides leadership and support to shelter staff in the provision of services for the Fort Worth Shelter Services Program, 24/7 hotline intervention, and daily shelter operations.

This position has significant responsibilities that includes promoting a healthy, safe, welcoming and survivor-centered community living environment and ensures advocacy, crisis services and shelter operations aligns with SafeHavens philosophy on gender-based violence.  Responsible for cultivating a positive, collaborative, and inclusive team culture in which employees understand and feel connected to the vital role they play in fulfilling the organization’s mission. Oversees and maintains data collection for grant compliance and reporting requirements to ensure program outcomes are met. This position works collaboratively with other internal staff, leaders and community partners/agencies in the provision of shelter services for the program.

The specific qualifications for this role are:

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field LPC, LCSW, LMFT preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related discipline required.
  • Minimum three years’ experience in the field of family violence, victim services or related work required.
  • Minimum three years’ supervisory experience required.
  • Experience with volunteer management required.
  • Knowledge of Intimate Partner Violence, gender-based violence, and crisis intervention strategies required.
  • Ability to provide culturally competent services and work with diverse staff and clientele in an empathetic and non-judgmental manner.
  • Strong organization and time management skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced and changing environment.

The base salary for this position is $63,100 annually.  Prior experience and other variables may be considered for an increase in the salary offer.
