A Night Of Light 2023 Faq

How are organizations nominated?
In 2023, all organizations who were active CNM-pact® Certified Prime clients by July 15, 2023 were eligible to be nominated. To determine nominees in each category, our Outcomes and Evaluation Team rated the performance of every CNM-pact Certified Prime client on a scale of 1-4 in the following categories:

  • Data-Based Decision-Making
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Stakeholder Engagement
  • Fundraising Success

How is the winning organization in each category chosen?
The winning organization in each category is chosen based on the final ranking from our Outcomes and Evaluation Team, with input and approval from our Vice President of Services, and then final approval from our Board of Directors. Our Nonprofit of the Year award is given to the nonprofit with the strongest overall rating across all four award categories.

What do organizations who are nominated and/or win receive?
Each nominated organization receives $2,000 in CNM scholarship funds; organizations who win their category receive $5,000 in CNM scholarship funds.

Do I need a ticket for the event? Is there a set number of tickets allowed per organization?
You do not need a ticket—our event is free! There is not a set limit on the number of tickets per organization. However, we do ask that every attendee register at this link, so that we can plan for the appropriate number of guests.

What is the event attire?
There is no set attire; we suggest business casual, but please wear what makes you feel best for a fun night!

Will there be food and beverages?
Yes, complimentary drinks and hors d’oeuvres from Café Momentum will be served.

Where do I park?
Please park in either the Energy Square 3 parking garage or in the visitor surface lot adjacent to the Energy Square 3 building. All parking is free of charge for the evening. Parking maps are available when you register for the event.

Can we share with others that our organization was nominated?
Absolutely! After organizations have been notified, CNM staff will follow up with an official A Night of Light 2023 Award Nominee graphic that can used in social media posts, emails, newsletters, or however your organization shares information.
