Meet your instructors

Wendy Ogren

Wendy Ogren has over 30 years of experience working with nonprofits and congregations on program development, implementation, and evaluation. Her work has seen her leading teams of internal and external stakeholders in children and family services, food insecurity, and early learning spaces. She is currently responsible for quality service delivery for CNM partners.

Wendy has served as VP of Early Childhood Programs at ChildCareGroup, where she was responsible for providing high quality early learning experiences for approximately 1,500 low-income children through three service models. Previously, Wendy worked at Second Harvest Heartland, a large food bank in St. Paul, MN, where she led outreach programs for food insecure populations and capacity building efforts for community partners. Wendy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Ministry and a Master of Science in Christian Ministry from Abilene Christian University in Abilene, Texas.

Sedrick Evans, SHRM-SCP, SPHR

Sedrick Evans is a Human Resources Executive and Owner of Balanced HR Solutions, a Human Resource Consulting Services Company. He has more than 20 years of experience transforming HR organizations, programs, and practices to support successful business outcomes. His areas of expertise include change and performance management, team effectiveness, total rewards, leadership development, and team building. Sedrick is a member of and holds accreditations with the Society of Human Resource Management and HR Certificate Institute. He is a graduate of Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, Texas.

J. Guillermo Villalobos, Ph.D

Dr. Guillermo Villalobos has over eight years of experience leading research projects at the University level, and over three years of experience in research and evaluation work with nonprofit organizations. He is experienced in study design, quantitative and qualitative research methods, tool development, data collection and management, report writing, and presenting results to experts and the general public. Guillermo has also published in peer-reviewed and other professional journals, and has presented his research at professional conferences. Guillermo holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from University of California, Riverside, a Master of Arts in General-Experimental Psychology from California State University, San Bernardino, and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Interdisciplinary Social Psychology from the University of Nevada, Reno.

Catherine McMains

Catherine McMains has more than a decade of experience working with nonprofit organizations using mixed-methods program evaluation to inform decision-making. She has demonstrated expertise in research and evaluation, community assessment, and program development and implementation. Catherine holds a Master of Public Health from the University of North Texas Health Science Center and a Postgraduate Certificate in Health Policy, Leadership and Management from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
