Director of Development
Good Shepherd Episcopal School

Good Shepherd Episcopal School has been an educational cornerstone of the Dallas community for nearly 65 years. With approximately 600 students in PreK through 8th grade, Good Shepherd’s mission is to inspire children to learn with confidence, serve with compassion, and lead with courage.

Good Shepherd Episcopal School seeks a dynamic and skilled fundraising leader to serve as its new Director of Development, an integral part of our school’s leadership team. The Director will lead the Development team and implement fundraising strategies to elevate philanthropic investment for our school community. This includes oversight of our school’s Annual Campaign, major donor events, as well as involvement with our school’s Parent Association fundraising efforts. Additionally, the new Director will also oversee our $10 million comprehensive fundraising campaign, Fit For Our Future, that is already underway.

The Director should possess the breadth and depth of experience capable of securing major and principal gifts to support the campaign, annual school programs, and key priorities. Success in this role requires a thoughtful strategist with a track record of collaboration and relationship building who is comfortable working with volunteer groups to achieve annual fundraising goals. The Director will cultivate and maintain community relationships across the school and vestry, including with the Board of Trustees, the school’s administration, the Parents’ Association, the Neighborhood Association, and alumni.

This is an on-site position, M-F, 7:30-4:00, with evening and weekend events occasionally required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a focus in a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years high-level fundraising experience.
  • A collaborative leader with administrative experience.
  • Demonstrated success in leading a Capital Campaign.
  • Excellent verbal, visual, and written communications skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a long-range vision for the school.
  • Willingness to be a life-long learner.
  • Disciplined, strong work ethic.
