OVERVIEW

Victory Therapy Center mission is to care for the physical, mental, and emotional needs of children, adults, Veterans, first responders, and their families through the healing power of horses. Victory Therapy Center Director of Development will work closely with the CEO, BOD, and key staff members to implement an organizational development plan. Primary responsibilities include solicitation of individual donors, current and prospective, as well as engaging the community through special events.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Develops and provides implementation of the organization’s Development Plan to help reach fundraising goals.
  • Coordinates priority fundraising needs throughout the organization and develops implementation strategies to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Oversees the organization’s special events ensuring that event budgets and goals are met and assists in coordinating event volunteer activity.
  • Coordinates fundraising cultivation and solicitation contacts for individuals, foundations, and corporations with direct interaction between the CEO, board, staff, and volunteer leadership involved.
  • Develops and maintains prospect list.
  • Oversees the management of donor database (Salesforce).
  • Develops and implements effective communication strategies to cultivate and steward relationships with Victory Therapy Center and current or prospective donors.
  • Oversees facilitation and maintenance of VTC social media activities.
  • Works directly with contracted grant management company, CEO, and program management team to ensure grant pipeline and any required grant management is maintained for all grants.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in a related field.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience directly related to duties and responsibilities required with proven success in sales and / or fundraising.
  • Ability to create and maintain a team environment that is inclusive and positive for staff, donors, and volunteers.
  • Ability to work independently and manage several detailed projects at the same time with attention to deadlines.
  • Previous experience with client/donor database software (Salesforce) highly preferred.
  • Must have a Texas valid driver’s license and maintain current auto liability insurance
  • Must pass a criminal background check
