Position Overview

Reporting to and in partnership with the Director of Development, the Development and Grants Manager will strengthen and enhance Pathfinders Development Department. As an integral part of the Pathfinders team, the Development and Grants Manager will help implement a strategic approach to fundraising by focusing on annual giving, 3rd party events, social media and external communications, donor database management, and ongoing grant reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Annual Giving (30%)

  • Collaborate with the DoD to plan and execute the annual drive
  • Create and implement the digital year-end giving campaign
  • Lead 3rd party and cause related marketing events to generate revenue
  • Create and implement the annual North Texas Giving Day Campaign
  • Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with prospective donors through relationship management practices
  • Support the planning and execution of Sharing the Journey

Marketing and Communications (20%)

  • Collaborate with the DoD to implement Pathfinders annual social media strategy
  • Create bi-monthly (six annually) Pathfinders digital newsletters
  • Assist in creating content appropriate for specific networks to spread both Pathfinders’ brand and content.
  • Collaborate with the DoD to help distribute content that educates and entertains our audience and supports development goals.
  • Explore new ways to engage and identify new social networks to reach our target audiences.
  • Collect and refine quarterly impact stories from program staff

Database Management (10%)

  • Oversee all aspects of gift processing, tax receipts and acknowledgments in a timely manner
  • Maintain data accuracy to eliminate duplicate records, inconsistent data, and overall database integrity
  • In collaboration with the CEO and DoD create lists for mailings
  • Run necessary reports to assist in donor cultivation and retention

Grants Reporting and Data Integrity (40%)

  • Work with the CEO and DoD to determine organizational needs for current and future grants
  • Run necessary reports for program reports and/or agency usage
  • Submit grant reports to funders as required by the funder
  • Maintain central grant filing system for grants, reports, and other critical proposal information
  • Write grant proposals as directed by the DoD
  • Provide stewardship reports as appropriate
  • Participate in prospect research

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3-plus years experience in professional fundraising
  • Ability to plan and manage multiple tasks and projects
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence
  • Knowledge and passion of issues related to poverty and financial empowerment
  • Knowledge of fundraising emerging and best practices
  • Demonstrated excellence in communication skills
  • Demonstrated success in relationship management
  • Competence in Microsoft Office and Canva
  • Competence in current and emerging social media trends and best practices
  • Must have reliable transportation with valid auto insurance and Driver’s License
  • Background check required
