Description

Community Partners of Dallas seeks a Vice President of Development and Communications. Position will report to CEO and serve as a critical member of our executive leadership team. VP is responsible for all contributed revenue streams and will oversee and implement fundraising strategies while managing the development team. Specific responsibilities include direct fundraising; individual, foundation and corporate relations; giving programs; special events; auxiliaries and donor groups; major gifts; strategic planning and vision for development initiatives and growth; communications and public relations. Ideal candidate is a relationship-focused fundraiser with a successful track record of raising funds through diverse sources and managing a development department. The position requires excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, the ability to multi-task and problem solve, great attention to detail, and will be filled by a hard-working team player.

Candidates must:

  • have a Bachelor degree plus 8 or more years of successful fundraising experience including 2 years or more supervisory experience
  • have highly developed external relationship skills and the ability to interact and influence donors, foundations and philanthropic community leaders
  • inspire action and execution of vision and strategy with board members, funders and community leaders
  • be comfortable with accountability and transparency
