Arlington Charities is hiring a Program Director (Part-time, 23 hr/week).  Working closely with the Executive Director, this position is responsible for planning, coordinating and supporting agency programs. Agency hours of operation: Monday-Friday, 8:30 am-1 pm. Occasional off hours supporting special events, community events and/or community speaking engagements may also be required.

Job Responsibilities include:

  • Working closely with the Executive Director and partnering with agency staff to manage agency programs including food pantry programs, utility assistance program and case management programs. Ensure that all service delivery and safety practices are congruent with policies and procedures.
  • Manage client intake and enrollment into program (virtual) through outreach to past clients and to other community partners.
  • Supervision of agency case managers as well as limited Case management (virtual) for clients including assessment, advocacy, and documentation for all client contact and contact made on behalf of the client.
  • Coordinate client referrals, services and linkages to program participants.
  • Develop, coordinate, and manage programs to offer additional support, information, or education to enrolled clients. (E.g., nutrition education, budgeting, etc.)
  • Develop a network of professional relationships with collaborating organizations.
  • Ensure that all services are provided in a caring and respectful manner, and in accordance with the agency mission, policies, and procedures. Assist in developing needed procedures.
  • Assist with grant development, monitoring, and reporting. Maintain required statistics and data needed for program accountability.
  • Develop reports, forms, and procedures as appropriate.
  • Evaluate and modify programs to meet needs of client base.
  • Work cooperatively with other staff members to ensure that all goals are met. Complete weekly and monthly service reports.
  • Attend staff meetings, events and fund-raising activities, and community meetings, as required.
  • Assist in development of promotional materials for the Agency.
  • Provides back-up to client intake, pantry and other staff/volunteer positions as needed.

Candidate requirements:

  • LMSW or LPC preferred (completed or in progress).
  • Bilingual a plus.
  • Direct client service experience in social services.
  • Ability to collaborate within agency and with other community service organizations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft products. Strong computer skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, changing work environment.
  • Ability to handle multiple, concurrent programs.
  • Ability to provide excellent case management and accurate documentation.
  • Ability to work as a team member, supporting events and initiatives.

Salary depending on qualifications and experience ($25K - $32K). Paid holidays, two weeks paid vacation per year, and two days per quarter of paid sick leave. Please note: no health benefits provided.
