Description

Habitat for Humanity of Collin County is a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing ministry dedicated to eliminating substandard housing and homelessness worldwide and to making adequate, affordable shelter a matter of conscience and action.

We are looking for a dedicated individual to serve as Full Time Philanthropy Manager. Under the supervision of the CEO the Philanthropy Manager plans, develops, and directs philanthropy and communications activities and promotes consistent messaging to raise funds for the agency. This position oversees special events, ReStore advertising and volunteers. The Philanthropy Manager will be required to coordinate their efforts and achieve their goals with other affiliate staff, volunteers, and Board Members mainly through influence and dialogue. The Philanthropy Manager is accountable for achieving the annual and three-five year plan for Grants, sponsorships and fundraising as determined in the HFHCC Strategic Plan.

General and Administrative:  Manage all aspects of Philanthropy, Marketing and Volunteer Departments  Frequent speaking engagements  Supervision of interns/Vista/volunteers in the Philanthropy, Marketing and Volunteer department  Supervision of the Volunteer Coordinator and Marketing Specialist  Coordinate with other managers and departments as needed to facilitate affiliate goals. (a) Construction Managers regarding in-kind donations and tracking. (b) Coordinate with other department managers for the Pre-Con and Post-Con meetings. (c) Family Services Manager regarding Carpenters Club letters and family photos/bios. (d) Volunteer Coordinator regarding involvement of sponsors on job site and evaluation. (e) ReStore Director regarding coordination of special events. (f) Finance regarding coordination with Keystone and Quickbooks for donation tracking and reconciliation. (g) Ensure timely reporting to board, staff, donors, and foundations on a monthly/quarterly basis.

Grants:  Management of Government and other grants as needed (except Bootstrap, HOME and FHLB)  Reporting to various granting agencies including CDBG, MCDC and foundation grants (in coordination with CFO, Family Program Director and Land acquisition)  Ensure agency has excellent grant compliance (CDBG, MCDC, etc…) for all areas in which the agency receives funding.  Writing and submission of Grant Proposals.

Donors:  Solicit House and other sponsorships  Oversight of direct mail campaigns  Direct Carpenters Club Program  Oversight of Special events including fundraisers, dedications, groundbreaking ceremonies, annual and monthly special events  Implementation/oversight of Donor Cultivation Plan  Planned giving  Management of information systems on all donors  Perform and organize Pre-Construction and Post Construction Meetings  Coordinate with Capital Campaign Consultant  Coordinate Executive Briefings at least quarterly

Communication/Marketing:  Implementation/creation of Newsletter publications  Creation/maintenance of websites(Taste/Restore and general)  All Internal and external communication and marketing planning for the affiliate  Maintain daily presence via website and social media channels.

Volunteer:  Ensure that all projects are successfully staffed with volunteers and that effective leadership is available to train the volunteers within the established guidelines.  Ensure volunteers are continuously recruited, trained, and given meaningful, compelling roles within all aspects of the organization to achieve a positive volunteer experience. Special events:  Planning and execution of special events and trade shows  Contact and hire for events; submit payments for approval  Press releases, signage, flyers and other collateral for all events  Serve as coordinator during all events  Publicize through e-news, word of mouth  Select and design promotional products for giveaways  Attend all family wall raisings and dedications

Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications:  Must have a minimum of five years of experience raising funds for non-profits or similar experience.  Must have extensive experience in face-to-face gift requests and excellent computer, organizational, writing, and public speaking skills.  Additional knowledge and skills include extensive knowledge of local philanthropic and business community and the ability to work under pressure on multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to the department’s budget.

The primary responsibility of the position is to direct the development department and assist the affiliate in achieving annual goals. Therefore, it is possible that responsibilities may change or increase as deemed necessary to accomplish the tasks. This is not an employment contract.
