Summary

The NCTC Foundation Director will direct, lead and perform the management of Foundation activities; and work closely with the Vice-Chancellor of External Affairs to develop and implement the College & Foundation’s mission, vision and goals.

Responsibilities and Duties Include:

  • Serve as the Executive Director of the North Central Texas College Foundation, executing all duties of that office as set forth in the Foundation's Bylaws with such duties including but not limited to: initiating and executing all activities related to resource development through the Foundation including donor relations and cultivation, special events, publications, friend-raising activities, fund drives, capital campaigns, and annual campaigns.
  • The Vice-Chancellor of External Affairs will supervise the Executive Director’s position and work collaboratively to set goals and directions for the Foundation.
  • Develop, direct and perform activities resulting in the development of resources including major funds acquisition, annual and direct mail campaigns, major gift drives, special fund activities, planned and deferred giving programs, and major gift and capital campaigns in concert with the Foundation.
  • Work directly with the Vice-Chancellor of External Affairs to educate the public as to the College’s mission, vision, goals, and opportunities to support the College.
  • Responsible for the identification, cultivation, relationship building, solicitation, and stewardship of prospects sending 40% of their time on these initiatives.
  • Cultivate relationships with individuals and leaders of the local business community to develop their interest in NCTC and the Foundation.
  • Prepare monthly board updates & board meetings reflecting pertinent details about past and future board decisions, fundraising, and institutional details.
  • Recommend, develop and direct Foundation activities. Develop strategies and processes to identify and solicit gifts from potential donors.
  • Maintain records related to Foundation activities and results. Coordinate Foundation activities with College staff to ensure efforts and projects are concentrated in areas of greatest need and interests.
  • Oversee Foundation events designed to enhance and advance friend and fundraising efforts.
  • Works with Marketing and Public Relations to manage the Foundation’s social media and website including developing alumni spotlights.
  • Conducts annual fundraising appeals such as year-end requests and other specialized campaigns.

 

Required Education:

Master’s degree in business, fundraising, and non-profit management, or other related fields.

 

Required Experience:

Successful candidates should have three years of business or education experience in fundraising, non-profits, donor relationships, etc.

Must be familiar with the latest trends in fundraising and donor relationships and non-profits.

 

Required Skills & Abilities:

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work well with others and in a team setting, with a strong collaborative spirit.

Strong marketing and public relation skills and abilities

Ability to build relationships with individuals and understand fundraising and donor relationships, cultivation, and solicitation.

 

 

Regular office hours are Monday through Thursday 8 am-5 pm and Friday 8 am-noon.  Summer office hours are Monday through Thursday 7:30 am-5:30 pm and off on Fridays.

 

Subject to a criminal background check. A resume and cover letter are required in addition to the application. The salary is $75,614.
