Marketing Coordinator

The Dallas Winds is seeking a person with marketing and communication skills to produce promotional materials, conduct marketing research and analyze sales data. Ideal candidates will look a lot like this: You played in band in high school and graduated college with a marketing degree. You’ve been in the workforce for a while, but right now you are looking for a part-time position. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Constant Contact are old friends and you'll quickly master whatever comes next. You know that SEO, SEM and CMYK aren't rock bands. Detail oriented is your middle name. (Well, middle names.) Writing and editing are fun because you love the English language. Musical background is preferred, having played in band a plus.

Job Brief

  • Primary responsibilities include producing promotional materials, conducting market research, and analyzing sales data

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement successful marketing campaigns in conjunction with Dallas Winds staff and its agency of record, Plot Twist Creativity
  • Create graphic content for media pieces, consistent with styles set forth by Plot Twist Creativity
  • Craft clear marketing copy, using the professional tone of the Dallas Winds’ brand
  • Set up tracking systems for online marketing activities
  • Conduct research to analyze customers’ behavior (e.g. purchasing habits, trends and preferences)
  • Track progress and report to Dallas Winds staff
  • Identify and analyze competitor’s efforts
  • Organize promotional activities for current and upcoming events/products

Requirements and Skills

  • Degree in Marketing or relevant field
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing tools
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud to design print & online materials
  • Experience with research methods using data analytics software
  • Expertise with SEO/SEM campaigns
  • Solid computer skills, including MS Office, web analytics and Google Adwords
  • Familiarity with Content Management Systems (WordPress, Constant Contact, Mail Chimp)
  • Dallas/Ft. Worth area residency preferred, hybrid remote/office

Compensation

  • Salaried, part-time staff position, 20 hours weekly, flexible scheduling. $25,000 annually
