Description
What You Will Do
The front desk coordinator is the face and voice of our church. This person greets, directs, and manages all visitors, promptly answers all phone calls, provides assistance in the staff as needed, and provides critical support for our pastoral care and administrative teams.
- Staff the main reception desk at the entrance to the church offices from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Monday through Friday
- Greet all people who enter our campus as though they are Christ by assessing their needs, answering questions, and directing them accordingly.
- Answer the phone and direct all calls to appropriate persons
- Keep records of prayer requests
- Direct visitors and guests to their destination
- Maintain a pastoral care and visitation record of church members who are in the hospital or other residential care
- Maintain the calendar, including processing requests from those who wish to use the church buildings
- Receive mail and packages
- Support the finance staff with contributions counting, deposits, and other administrative tasks as needed and as time allows
Skills you will contribute
To be a successful member of our team, you will bring the following skills:
- A cheerful attitude and helpful spirit necessary for dealing with a wide range of people
- Experience working in a public-facing position is a plus
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software independently
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently, multitask, prioritize daily work assignments and be flexible
- Maintain a high degree of confidentialit
