EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR FOR EXPANDING NON-PROFIT IN NORTH TEXAS

A North Texas based 501C3 nonprofit organization, established in 2017 is seeking an executive director to expand our leadership team. Our mission is to serve high school aged youth, experiencing or at risk of homelessness, with the goal of graduating from high school.

The organization is seeking to hire an executive director who has the desire and interest to work with youth experiencing homelessness in North Texas. The ideal candidate would have previous experience in nonprofit management.

The primary tasks of the Executive Director are as follows:

1. Establish and maintain relationships with all students, donors, employees of the school district, the board, and all other partnering nonprofit agencies that provide additional support for the students.

2. Establish annual fundraising goals and fundraising campaigns to meet those goals based on the established budget.

3. Hire and supervise all positions in the organization: Administrative assistant, Case Manager/workers, and all volunteers.

4. Develop a budget, submit to the board for approval and then maintain the budget and all financial transactions according to accounting standards.

The candidate should hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience, with preferred experience working with homeless youth. Candidate should be computer literate including familiarity with Microsoft applications. The candidate must possess strong communication and organizational skills. The candidate must have experience managing a staff and meeting goals and deadlines.
