Description

The Donor Relations Manager for the Robotics Education & Competition (REC) Foundation has energy and passion for the mission and vision of the REC Foundation. This position is primarily responsible for developing, tracking, and maintaining ongoing relationships with significant donors and prospects to advance the mission of the REC Foundation.

Responsibilities

  • Manage relationships with annual sustaining-level donors including strategies for acquisition, renewal, upgrades, and reengagement
  • Create proposal narratives and budgets as needed to complete the donation process
  • Conduct donor research as need for prioritization, segmentation, and customization of outreach strategies
  • Maintain foundation, corporation, and individual donor files
  • Continually update and correct database records
  • Coordinate cultivation, acknowledgment, appreciation, and stewardship program for all donors
  • Create and manage recurring donor program
  • Support Director of Development, CEO, and Board of Trustees in prioritizing and managing portfolios of existing and prospective major and principal individual donors
  • Serve as primary staff liaison for sponsors and donors of the VEX Worlds Robotics Championship
  • Work with the Volunteer Coordinator to create engaging opportunities for donors and corporate employee engagement
  • Provide regular standing reports and ad hoc reports as needed
  • Assist with the collection of data to evaluate program success
  • Provide continual feedback to help maintain program integrity
  • May assist with additional projects and initiatives as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing, communications, human services, or other related field (Education substitute: 2 years of related experience for one year of education)
  • Minimum of 3 years of successful experience in a nonprofit environment
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong organizational, problem solving, and analytical skills
  • Success in supporting executive staff
  • Professionalism and quality of work 
  • Accuracy of fundraising reports and database records
  • Turnaround time for acknowledgment letters and other stewardship activities 
  • Able to travel domestically to REC Foundation-hosted events, to the Greenville, TX office as necessary for meetings, and to the VEX Robotics World Championship annually in Dallas, TX
  • Sign a noncompete agreement

  • Number of Openings: 2
    • 1 - remote but within the DFW Texas area
    • 1 - anywhere in the US
  • Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000
