PRIMARY PURPOSE: The Director/Sr. Director of Community Partner Relations provides leadership and management to the North Texas Food Bank Community Partner Relations and Programs teams. This role focuses on building more food secure communities using a data-driven community based approach, through growing partner relationships to further develop and optimize NTFB programming.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, management, social services, public health or related field

 

Special Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Must be able to manage a large team effectively
  • Must be self-directed, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
  • Excellent analytical and business modeling skills, writing skills, and comfortable with public speaking, as well as an effective communicator with co-workers, managers, partners, and clients
  • Demonstrated ability to establish, maintain and strengthen community relationships and an understanding of the record-keeping and stewardship systems that support successful programming
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office applications; some experience with a CRM system a plus

 

Experience:

  • Five or more years of relationship or account management, program management, business development, and/or customer service training
  • Five or more years of supervisory experience, including demonstrated goal setting, driving accountability, and coaching skills
  • Knowledge of direct experience of food banking a plus
  • Program measurement and evaluation a plus

 

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support our current partners and program sites, grow existing partner capability/capacity and expand the number of partners and/or program sites
  • Promote a strategy-aligned, network development plan through expansion in various channels;  develop new strategies for distribution and food access equity
  • Foster organizational shift to an account management approach with a customer-centric, community-focused mindset; provide support to partners including but is not limited to, training, compliance (NTFB and Feeding America), contract management, general advocacy, problem resolution, and client visibility
  • Oversee partner and mobile reporting process, including but not limited to KPIs for meals, pounds, retail donations, client counts, and satisfaction
  • Identify and cultivate strong relationships within the community to increase effective food distribution and better serve the NTFB service area counties and needs
  • Facilitate collaboration across NTFB Partners to develop access points for food distribution in underserved areas as identified by data analysis and the Hunger Index
  • Strategize with Partners to identify and support plans and programs to build capability and capacity, including but not limited to, providing education and training through ‘Partner University' and Partner Grant program
  • Manage the process for screening and contracting with selected new partners
  • Develop and manage the annual departmental budget, program and staff evaluation work plan and performance management
  • Provide training and support for new and existing employees; foster partnership and collaboration with other NTFB functions such as Marketing & Communications, Transportation and Operations
  • Lead, mentor and develop staff to ensure continuous learning and growth
  • Perform other tasks and duties as assigned

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead a team of 3-5 direct reports and 20-25 indirect reports
