ABOUT THE WARRIOR CONNECTION (TWC)

TWC is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that strives to end Veteran suicide and repair family relationship through proven holistic residential retreats for Veterans and Military Spouses.

In 2009, a small group of volunteers recognized a higher calling in a community of men and women wounded mentally, spiritually, or morally due to their military service. These volunteers responded to that call with the creation and launch of The Warrior Connection. During the first few years of TWC's incubation, our small handful of volunteers worked tirelessly to conduct literature reviews, research retreat design models, etc. That work led to the development of a curriculum and completion of the TWC retreat blueprint and from this “The Warrior's Journey” was born. Soon after came the completion of a Facilitator Training Manual and the full TWC participant curriculum. The first TWC retreat was piloted in October 2010. Since 2010, TWC’s work has evolved, our core retreats have been refined, and additional facilitation and volunteer teams have been trained and activated. Now, exclusively through the generosity of private donors, TWC has served hundreds of Veterans and their families. In addition, thanks to critical partnerships and corporate sponsors, TWC provides transportation to

our retreats, removing one of the most significant barriers to care. To date, TWC has served Veterans and spouses from 46 U.S. states.
