Job Overview
The FWYO is seeking to expand our small development team with a development manager over annual fund and development communications.
This position is an essential member of the development team and will be responsible for managing all aspects of the FWYO Annual Giving Program. The Development Manager plays an active role in the identification, cultivation, solicitation and recognition of individual donors and will be responsible to meet budget goals.
The FWYO offers a generous working calendar with holiday breaks and paid time off. This position will also be hybrid, allowing for several days a week WFH in addition to some on-site core hours.

- Assists development department on cyclical campaigns by contributing digital and print content for North Texas Giving Day, End of Year, Giving Tuesday, Spring Campaign, event invitations, letters and other fundraising efforts.
- Meeting contribution goals.
- Design, implementation and growth of all annual Direct Public Support campaigns including online, direct mail and newsletter.
- Administrative support of major gift fundraising
- Utilize direct response communication and fundraising tools (direct mail, email, website) to inform, engage, connect and solicit current, lapsed and prospective donors. Monitor, report and analyze outcomes.
- Maintain an active level of written and digital correspondence with all donors.
- Working with the grants manager and Executive Director, maintain and cultivate individual donor records in the donor database.
- Organize 3-6 donor events annually including small concert receptions, stewardship behind-the-scenes site visits, and assist with large annual fundraiser.
- Coordinate department-wide stewardship efforts of current donors to retain and encourage repeat and increased giving year-over-year.
- Prepare and execute stewardship mailings
- Assist with print programs for performances, including 4-6 major concert programs and other small leaflet programs for various performances
- Assists with creating quarterly FWYO Beat stewardship newsletter with occasional article contribution.
- Collaborates on managing social media pages
- Collaborating with the Executive Director on an annual report and other special projects
- Occasional press release creation, website updates, and press management
- Occasional assistance with front-of-house and managing donor events
- Adhering to brand standards and ensuring a unified FWYO brand to the public
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Fundraising experience
- Experience with adhering to brand guidelines
- Independent work ethic with the ability to self-manage time, coordinate efforts internally, and work with competing deadlines
- Event management experience
- Comfort with managing large files
- Excellent English writing skills (plus for Spanish speaking and writing as well)
- Familiarity with Google for Work
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to lift 25 lbs
