KERA is seeking a talented Development Administrative Assistant to join our team and help provide administrative support for the Development team, with a focus on KERA’s membership campaigns.

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE:

The Development Administrative Assistant will report to the Senior Vice President, Development and work closely with the Director, Development Operations supporting the department consisting of Major Gifts, Membership, and Donor Data (Gift Processing). The successful candidate will be a highly organized self-starter who enjoys a fast-paced and varied job, preferably having experience as an executive administrative assistant to a team of development professionals.

 

This position is full-time (expected 40-hour work week); FLSA non-exempt and is eligible for overtime.

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Provide general office support, including, but not limited to, answering phones, responding to phone and email inquiries, maintaining calendars, preparing expense reports, filing and organizing
  • Support overall Membership teams with data entry in the development database and answering member emails and phone calls, as needed
  • Schedule meetings/appointments and makes travel arrangements for supervisors and others as required. Drafts detailed itineraries and double checks all contact information, travel plan details, directions, and other details to ensure accuracy.
  • Ordering food/snacks/meals and coordinating details for membership drives, meetings, and other gatherings
  • Managing printing and mailing of invitations, donor communications, and general mailings
  • Prepare expense reports, filing, responding to phone/email inquiries, preparing and coordinating annual tax letters and mailings in coordination with Tessitura team
  • Proficiently use advanced software features to format documents and move data or other information between Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Perform other responsibilities upon request, as needed, with or without accommodation.

BONUS IF YOU BRING:

  • Experience with Tessitura or other CRM systems (e.g., Raiser’s Edge)
  • 5-7 years’ experience as administrative assistant or roles with equivalent skills
  • Non-profit and/or capital campaign experience
  • A passion for supporting non-profits and/or public media

 

 

SALARY RANGE

$43,000-$48,000, dependent on experience

LOCATION:

We expect that this position will work out of our Dallas office 75% of the time.
