Description

Good Shepherd Episcopal School seeks a Development Data Associate to work in the Advancement Department. The main responsibility is to work closely with the Director of Advancement in organizing and supporting programs and activities for the purpose of advancement of the school.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Work with Business Office to enter all gift processing into advancement database system (Veracross), including annual fund, capital campaign, parents’ association, service activities, grants, and other related pledges and payments
  • Prepare donor pledge reminders, acknowledgements, tax receipts and stewardship letters
  • Prepare routine and ad hoc advancement reports
  • Maintain database of donor and prospect information in database
  • Conduct prospect research on assigned prospects
  • Responsible for all acknowledgement correspondence within 48 hours of receipt
  • Provide assistance and support to communications, as needed
  • Responsible for assisting and supporting strategies to enhance the school’s image in the community
  • Order materials, supplies and equipment as necessary
  • Maintain standard of professional competence, adheres to a professional code of ethical conduct and attends continuing professional education workshops and seminars
  • Prepare materials including reports, memos, forms correspondence, presentations and/or other communication as directed by the Director of Advancement

IDEAL CANDIDATES WILL NEED:

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two years’ experience in similar position
  • Knowledgeable in annual giving, major gifts, special events, corporate and foundation giving, and donor relations
  • Ability to ascertain which people may need immediate assistance and act accordingly
  • Ability to uphold confidentiality
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all constituents in a school environment
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to excellence, detail, organization, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment
  • Proficiency in Google Apps
  • Veracross database experience preferred
