IMAGINE...the Impossible for Every Child: Performing Arts Center (IMAGINE...) is seeking ALL board member positions for our non-profit organization.
We meet via Zoom and we are looking for a two-year commitment - Very Serious members only please.
IMAGINE... which began with one school and at its peak, was offering Classical ballet to 27 schools and training over 500 at-risk, low-income students every semester - in addition to 8-week Summer Intensive Ballet Camps in Dallas, Texas.
Family circumstances forced us to relocate from Dallas to Houston, Texas.
IMAGINE...is a 501 (C) (3) nonprofit organization with a mission to empower children at or below the poverty level with the highest level of artistic excellence through professional classical ballet training, followed by exposure to travel, theatre, opera, the symphony, and museums, thus achieving successful leadership roles throughout life.
IMAGINE...is about a transformational change in children:
- breaking poverty cycles of underrepresented and economically disadvantaged children (ages four - sixteen)
- reversing very poor academic and attendance performance
- increasing and uplifting the community life of our students and their communities
- provide opportunities to develop skills for careers in Dance.
