Established in 1930, Lena Pope Home was a refuge for children and families during the depression and post-war years. Since its inception, the agency now known simply as Lena Pope, has identified the needs of the local children and designed programs to meet those needs. For more than 89 years, Lena Pope has been helping create hope for children and families in North Texas. The agency focuses on evidence-based prevention and early intervention programs to improve the lives of children and families. In 2018, Lena Pope directly served more than 4,000 individuals, children and families. Lena Pope’s mission remains the same: To help create hope, happiness and success for children and families.
