Description

Good Shepherd Episcopal School is seeking a contract position open for a Website Administrator. This position will serve as a member of the Communications Team and their primary responsibility will be to maintain and update the school’s website. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as the main site administrator for the Good Shepherd Episcopal School website, including liaison work between the school and all contracted third party vendors. 
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of the website by performing daily maintenance; keep the website up to date by making proactive/timely updates to all content as needed and requested by other departments.
  • Assist in creating, maintaining & optimizing the website’s UX Design, ensuring all aspects of the end-user's interaction with the school is successful. 
  • Develop and maintain website portals, forms, and calendars in accordance with the school’s needs; collaborate closely with the Communications Office, Division Heads, and Department Heads.
  • Manage all external customer service for the website through one-on-one support
  • Manage all internal customer service for the website: train/oversee employees on CMS, create user guides, manage access to training, and manage administrative roles/rights/capacities.
  • Collect and analyze web analytics and similar data; identify opportunities to improve search engine optimization (SEO), time on site, web traffic, and other relevant metrics.
  • Manage Search Engine Optimization (SEO), PPC digital marketing (Google Adwords).
  • Serve as the primary contact for all aspects of the school’s website transition.
  • Maintain current knowledge of best practices and emerging developments in web design, web development, and technology.
  • Stay up to date on changes/updates to CMS software; continually monitor site for mistakes/issues, update the information when situations arise. 
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Head of School.
  • Support the school and its leadership.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or related field preferred.
  • At least three to five years experience is preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of website design and administration.
  • Content Management System (CMS) experience required. Finalsite experience preferred. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong verbal communication skills; exemplary writing and editing skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML.
