The Senior Development Manager, Corporate Giving is responsible for generating new support from corporations across Greater Dallas by promoting Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) Lone Star as the preferred charity of choice for giving and volunteering. This position develops and implements a comprehensive, results-oriented fundraising plan and portfolio that drives new support from corporate donors through corporate giving, event sponsorships, corporate fundraising drives and employee giving campaigns.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities, and Activities

  • Drive revenue growth and fuel the sustainability of BBBS Greater Dallas by developing a portfolio of new and existing corporate donors with a focus on new donor acquisition.
    • Identify opportunities for sustained/increased support from existing corporate partners with an emphasis on multi-year gifts.
    • Create new prospect lists and develop new business leads to advance BBBS fundraising and meet assigned KPIs for new donor Manage all steps of the donor activation process: prospect identification, qualification through research, appeal, recognition, and stewardship.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Events to identify corporate fundraising opportunities through Signature Events.
  • Work with the Vice President of Advancement and contracted Grant Writer to develop all corporate foundation requests and ensure timely acknowledgement and reporting for awarded corporate gifts.
  • Track and report all related business development activity through Matchforce Fundraising (a Salesforce product).
  • Collaborate with the Director of Recruitment to identify new corporate volunteer recruitment opportunities.
  • Ensure that all resource development activities are in accordance with agency policies and procedures, are updated on a regular basis, and ensure growth.

Education, Experience, and Other Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, sales, marketing, communication, or a related discipline
  • Minimum five to 10 years corporate fundraising experience with proven track record of identifying and securing five to six figure corporate gifts.
  • Knowledge of fundraising and fundraising management systems and
  • Facilitation, negotiation and closing skills
  • Thorough knowledge of non-profit development setting, project planning, prospect research, and general management skills
  • Effective, experienced and confident public speaker
  • Demonstrated facilitation skills to lead meetings with varying size audiences
  • Possess understanding of local market demographics
  • Demonstrated experience in establishing and executing successful recruitment strategies and developing partners through networking
  • Willingness and capability to learn other software as needed including proprietary database software used to track BBBS development and program activities
  • Knowledge and expertise in building and managing a team
  • Intermediate level proficiency in MSWord, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint, including keyboard skills of 45 words per minute, error free
  • Flexibility and availability to accommodate weekday early/evening work hours and occasional weekendand overnight hours, as well as regular travel to varying venues within the Lone Star network
  • Willingness to work within culturally diverse environments

Essential Physical Functions
