SafeHaven is seeking an Executive Vice President to lead our efforts to implement a new innovation lab. This lab will create, conduct, and apply original research around intimate partner violence.
This position is responsible for starting the Innovation Lab, a new branch of SafeHaven, as part of our Vision 2030.
This position has significant responsibilities. This position leads the research and development efforts that drive the organization’s mission forward. The position works closely with the c-suite team to determine viable projects and assist with securing funding for projects. The primary responsibility is to survivors at SafeHaven, developing and conducting quality research to support their safety and offender accountability. The appropriate application of such research is vital for survivors.

The specific qualifications for this role are:
  • Advanced degree (graduate degree required, doctoral degree preferred) in social sciences, public policy, social work, or a related field. 
  • Proven track record of leadership and innovation in social services, research, or a relevant industry. 
  • Extensive experience in designing and implementing research projects, preferably within a nonprofit or social services context. 
  • Strong understanding of emerging technologies, data analytics, and their applications in social innovation. 
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders, including donors, policymakers, and community partners. 
  • Accountable, trustworthy, curious, open communicator, and flexible
