United Way Metropolitan Dallas (UWMD), a social change organization making a meaningful impact for 1.6 million North Texans each year is seeking a mission-driven, results-oriented Corporate Account Executive with a passion for campaign fundraising and success at building sustainable corporate and community relationships. 

UWMD works closely with locally headquartered Fortune 500 companies, mid-sized and small businesses, as well as with leading civic, foundation and philanthropic partners. Together and united with the community, UWMD creates meaningful impact to improve access to education, income, and health in North Texas.  The Corporate Account Executive is a key contributor to overall revenue contributions in support of UWMD’s Mission across a dynamic growth environment.

Position Summary:

The Corporate Account Executive is aligned to the UWMD Mission with a passion for campaign fundraising and success at building sustainable corporate and community relationships that contribute to achieving event revenue goals and measurable results.

The position reports to the Senior Account Executive and is part of the Corporate and Foundation Engagement Team. The Corporate Account Executive (CAE) is responsible for the growth of existing workplace relationships and for identifying and cultivating new business and corporate partnerships.

Responsibilities include logistical and general support for employee giving campaigns, program sponsorships, event sponsorships and volunteer engagement activities in driving revenue growth annually.  The Corporate Account Executive will close new revenue opportunities and engage workplace audiences to drive campaign success. The CAE serves as the United Way account lead with corporate, mid-sized and small business partnerships.

  • Stewardship:  Meet the highest ethical standards.   All actions, behaviors, and decisions on behalf of our donors must be transparent and align with organizational goals.
  • Major Account Support:  Manage and steward the portfolio of numerous major accounts. Develop and provide support to advance corporate account strategies that derive philanthropic revenue from employee giving campaigns, corporate gifts, program sponsorships, impact investment sponsorships, and volunteer engagement.  Identify major gift prospects, and high-net-worth individuals to solicit major donations.
  • Small/Mid-Sized Account Leadership:  Manage and steward the portfolio of numerous small/mid-sized accounts. Develop and manage account strategies that support the account and derive philanthropic revenue through employee giving campaigns, mid-level gifts, program sponsorships, event sponsorships and volunteer engagement.  Identify major gift prospects, and high-net-worth individuals to solicit major donations.
  • Campaign Management and Execution:  Strong organizational skills are needed to steward campaigns which includes assisting in the coordination as well as attending and speaking at events.
  • Collaboration:   Work across Community Impact, Marketing, Volunteer Engagement, and with UWMD resources to support and develop messaging and campaign materials for fundraising events and donor meetings. 
  • Professional Development:  Remain current on fundraising best practices through professional development, training and certifications.
  • Flexibility:  Ability to work some evenings and weekends, as required by event timing.

  • Experience and demonstrated success at building sustainable corporate and community relationships to achieving event revenue goals and create greater brand awareness
  • Track record for closing and stewarding donor relationships
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed target growth
  • Proficiency in researching, prospecting, preparing and presenting proposals to new and existing corporate and community partners
  • Development and implementation of fundraising campaigns
  • A high degree of personal initiative with the desire and ability to meet aggressive goals.
  • A commitment to community service and the non-profit sector.
  • Ability to leverage technology and work within a CRM to implement and drive change and performance.
  • Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills; ability to infuse creativity, innovation and insight into all aspects of work.
  • Experience in public speaking, as numerous occasions for such arise
  • Ability to work independently, to prioritize and execute multiple projects and meet strict deadlines for deliverables.
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Salesforce; working knowledge of social media.

Education:

  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • 3-5 years in a sales capacity preferred
  • Relevant Certification(s) desired.
