As a premier partner of the Tarrant Area Food Bank, 4Saints is the largest food pantry in Fort Worth’s historic and diverse East Lancaster Avenue area.  East Lancaster is considered a “food desert” because access to affordable nutritious food options is highly limited. There is no full-sized grocery store in the community.  Many of the East Lancaster community live below the poverty line and 1 in 10 experience food insecurity.

POSITION:

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director (ED) is responsible to fulfil the mission and achieve financial objectives for 4Saints.  The ED is responsible for fundraising including cultivating new and existing donors. The ED is the brand ambassador to the community and is the “face” to donors, partners, clients, and the public at large. The ED is responsible for a $225,000 operating budget.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to and in partnership with the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will implement the strategic direction, oversee fundraising, manage programs and ensure financial stability that will allow 4Saints to continue to grow and fulfill its mission.

The Executive Director will:

  • Work with the Board of Directors to fulfill the Pantry’s mission. Communicate effectively with the Board and provide necessary information in a timely manner so that the Board can make informed decisions.
  • Embrace a collaborative and compassionate leadership style that recognizes and retains people. Maintain a culture that encourages innovation, teamwork and open communication.
  • Oversee fundraising initiatives to strengthen and diversify funding sources. Cultivate strong relationships with key donors, namely individuals, foundations, churches and corporations.
  • Develop fundraising plans for a future Capital Campaign.
  • Enhance the Pantry’s public image by being active and visible in the community and by working closely with local churches and other professional, civic and private organizations; be the public face of the Pantry in the community.
  • Utilize volunteer management and donor management software.
  • Create business and strategic plans for achieving goals and objectives set in collaboration with the Board of Directors.
  • Oversee external communications, including website, marketing collateral, newsletter and social media.
  • Lead all aspects of financial management including budget preparation, timely/accurate reporting and ensure a strong positive financial position.
  • Ensure programmatic excellence to meet client needs; create Program Logic Models.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal regulations, organizational policies and adherence to industry best practices.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience as a senior leader, proven fundraising ability and volunteer management.  A Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration, Public Health or Social Work preferred (or commensurate nonprofit work experience).  Experience with Capital Campaigns is a plus.
