Journey Home Program Manager – True Worth Place  

Presbyterian Night Shelter is known for serving the homeless in greatest need: those who have no other places to go.  Those who present the greatest challenge to our community are welcome here.  As the largest homeless shelter in Tarrant County, we serve approximately 1,000 men, women and children each night.

Job Summary

The Journey Home Program Manager oversees the provision of high quality services to True Worth Place guests with the primary goal of exiting guests to permanent housing as quickly as possible. Directly supervises Journey Home Guides, Housing Navigator, Diversion Specialist, Outreach staff, Critical Documents Specialist, Journey Home Guest Coordinator, Journey Home Advocates, and the Education Coordinator. The Journey Home Program Manager is also responsible for ensuring delivery of services and classes from outside providers within the facility. As a member of management, support administrative leadership team including other Journey Home Program Managers, Directors, and Vice Presidents of Programs, Operations, Business and Career Development, Finance, Development, Human Resources and the Chief Executive Officer.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in social service or related field.  Master’s degree in Social Work preferred.

Minimum of two years supervisory experience in residential environment required.

Must have experience with homeless or transient population and/or residential population experiencing substance abuse disorders or mental illness.

Experience working with the homeless population.

Experience collaborating within agency and with partnering agencies.

Current Texas Driver's License required.

Must provide proof of auto liability insurance.
