Parker County Center of Hope

Company Information

Parker County Center of Hope is a Christ-centered ministry that equips and empowers people to live successful, joy-filled lives.  For over 25 years, Center of Hope has learned that while addressing the material aspects of poverty is important, true rehabilitation and restoration are only achieved through long-term solutions. We have focused our work on an integrated service model that addresses the holistic needs of individuals and leads them to a path of economic independence and improved quality of life.

Center of Hope believes: every person has value; relationships are essential to discover the root of the problem; effective assistance requires accountability; long-term solutions require personal investment; and success is achieved through addressing physical, educational, and spiritual needs.

Parker County Center of Hope has three strategies to help struggling families:  Basic Assistance, Education and Career Development, and Family Empowerment.

We offer short-term basic assistance by providing daily meals in our dining room, groceries, financial assistance for utilities, transportation, dental, medical, and counseling needs.

Our Education and Career Development program provides long-term solutions designed to encourage navigation toward self-efficacy that will help individuals construct their own pathway to success. Adult Education provides Basic Literacy, ESL (6 levels), GED tutoring, and citizenship prep. Career Development provides action plan development (STEPS), life and job skills classes, construction training, computer skills training, and paid work internships.  Individual support is offered through financial management and coaching, life coaching, and mental wellness class.
