Description
This role provides financial account management and data analysis for all aspects of the business with a focus on accounts receivable. This role ensures the organization maintains accurate financial account information for organizational and donor reporting purposes. This requires an efficient, organized and timely process for collecting, tracking, and managing data to provide accurate information for financial review and reporting processes.
This role serves as the lead in ensuring donor pledge payments and processed, provides regular reconciliations and assists with preparation of financial reports for senior leadership and external auditors. The accountant performs this role with a considerable amount of independence, a high attention to detail, within the internal control procedures as set by management and the board.
Essential Role Functions: (Accountabilities / Responsibilities) 40% Reconcile customer accounts, manage accounts receivable collections and associated management reporting 20% Financial analysis and preparation of financial information and reports 15% Prepare monthly and quarterly reconciliations 10% Prepare donations for deposit, including processing mail, and coordinating stock transfers 10% Provide customer service to other staff and donors 5% Other duties as assigned Educational/Experience Requirements: · Bachelor’s Degree in business, accounting, or finance required
· CPA preferred
· One to four years related experience

Preferred Qualifications:
- Non-profit or banking experience
- Knowledge and experience in working with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms (e.g. Salesforce)
