Description

Dallas CASA, a nonprofit organization advocating for child victims of abuse and neglect, seeks a CASA Supervisor.  Responsibilities include: supervising volunteer advocates for children who are in the legal custody of the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services in pending court cases; helping volunteers gather information and present recommendations; accompanying advocates to court hearings, participating in meetings and visits to foster homes; developing volunteer effectiveness and autonomy; documenting case information in accordance with national and state standards and agency policy; working effectively with attorneys, foster parents, families, caseworkers and others; and participating in the organization's activities, such as training, workgroups and special projects and events.  Candidates must be able to work effectively and respectfully with those of different races, ethnicities, genders, gender identities, gender expressions, sexual orientations, religions, cultures, and backgrounds and must be able to respond effectively to conflicting views and positions.

Required: college degree. Preferred: supervisory experience, human service education and/or experience, Spanish language proficiency.
