Frisco Family Services seeks a full-time energetic, organized and detail oriented Development Associate.  Reporting to the Executive Director, the Development Associate provides administrative and clerical support to the Executive Director and Development Department and also assists other senior level staff with special projects and initiatives.  The Development Associate plays a critical role in supporting the Development Department by participating in all areas of fundraising activities including donor and public relations, data entry and management, maintenance and archival of departmental files, research, grant writing and management, direct mail appeals and special events.  Primary responsibilities also include managing the Executive Director's calendar, providing administrative support for Board of Directors meetings, preparing Board of Directors manual, assisting with Board orientations and retreats and providing assistance with special projects and initiatives.  Candidates must have the ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks.  Professionalism, courtesy, efficiency, and confidentiality are required.  Ideal candidates will have a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years of clerical/administrative experience in a nonprofit organization.  Education may be supplemented by comparable experience, preferably in a nonprofit environment.    Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.  Must have excellent computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.  Experience working with donor management software systems a MUST and experience with DonorPerfect a plus.
