Description

The Conference on Crimes Against Women (CCAW) is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide a national platform to disseminate the highest level of training, information, and strategies to professionals who are responders and advocates to victims of the many and varied forms of crimes against women.

The Institute for Coordinated Community Response (ICCR) is a program of CCAW whose mission is to work alongside rural communities to improve their collaborative, systemic responses to domestic violence. Previously operating as a four-year, standalone pilot project, in October ICCR will be fully integrated as a program of CCAW.

The Institute Director is responsible for the strategic vision and day-to-day operations of ICCR, a program of CCAW.

Program Administration

  • Lead strategic planning efforts and manage implementation of programmatic improvements based on evaluative feedback loop
  • Ensure effectiveness of ICCR programming through continuous evaluation/reporting of program elements
  • Write and manage grants that support a significant portion of ICCR’s operating budget
  • Integrate ICCR operations further into the larger CCAW team, building processes that fully utilize other departmental resources and ensure cohesion between CCAW and ICCR outcomes
  • Actively seek training and resources to stay abreast of current issues and trends regarding domestic violence, collaborative leadership skills, and coordinated community response models

Communications

  • Act as the face of ICCR, cultivating strong partnerships with national and statewide organizations and making presentations in public forums
  • With CCAW Communications & Development Director, strategize effective marketing methods, including quarterly newsletter and monthly training eblasts, to support recruitment of teams for technical assistance and increase in training attendance
  • Oversee strategy for ICCR’s social media accounts and website; some posting, editing, and copywriting as needed

Technical Assistance

Supervise and work closely alongside ICCR’s Technical Assistance Manager to:

  • Provide hands-on, intensive technical assistance for four rural Texas CCR teams each year
  • Provide ongoing technical assistance to past teams, including writing and editing policies and protocols
  • Host bi-monthly rural Texas advocates calls and manage rural advocates listserv
  • Manage relationships with consultants and evaluators

Training

Work collaboratively with CCAW’s Director of Programs & Operations to:

  • Oversee execution and steady growth of ICCR’s new annual, virtual conference, Collaborative Responses to Domestic Violence in Rural Communities, including: curating speakers, managing marketing/registrations, and creating opportunities for virtual networking and connection among attendees
  • Host monthly webinars on domestic violence dynamics, centering the needs of rural communities in particular
  • Create new avenues for training that supports criminal justice system practitioners and CCR team members
  • Develop on-demand trainings, such as roll call videos and e-courses, as budget allows

Skills / Requirements:

  • At least five years of experience in program leadership and project management within the domestic violence field
  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Public Administration, or similar field preferred; comparable experience will be considered
  • Significant experience facilitating interagency team meetings
  • Expansive knowledge of collaborative techniques and coordinated community response models
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Articulable investment in rural communities
  • Ability to balance strategic, big-picture thinking with efficient management of day-to-day processes
  • Experience with Asana or similar project management tool strongly preferred
