Description

The Rees-Jones Foundation is seeking to expand our program staff by adding an associate level program staff member that will support the Senior Program Officer in the Youth Formation funding area. The primary task of the Program Associate will be reviewing grant proposals, conducting background research, and assisting in the preparation of documents for Foundation Board review.

The Youth Formation Portfolio seeks to encourage character development, mentorship and enriching experiences among children and youth in low-opportunity areas throughout Dallas and Fort Worth.

Ideal candidates are excited to support national and local non-profits that seek to up-level children and youth in the community, enjoy research and learning about local communities, and have a strong team work attitude. Consideration will be given to candidates who are familiar with the non-profit landscape in Dallas and/or Fort Worth, and have one or two years working or interning in the non-profit space.

The Program Associate staff position is considered an entry level position designed for recent college graduates or those with less than three years of experience in the non-profit industry. This position will provide individuals with a path to the Program Officer position, and therefore requires levels of skill, qualifications, abilities, past experience and personal traits sought for Program Officers. Minimum educational requirement for this position is an undergraduate degree. The Foundation particularly seeks individuals who have a strong interest and experience in the work of nonprofit organizations, evidenced from either prior work or volunteer engagement.
