POSITION OVERVIEW

Save a Dogslife (“Dogslife”) is seeking an individual who has an interest in non-profit fundraising and operations to serve as our Program Coordinator. He or She must be a dog lover and enjoy helping others in connection with our mission. A successful candidate will be able to work independently and remotely, while efficiently achieving organizational goals. Further, the Program Coordinator will work collaboratively with the Executive Director in executing our mission to fund grants for the cancer-related treatment of dogs whose families could not otherwise afford it. This is an excellent opportunity to play a critical role in the programs and operations of a young and growing organization that is committed to returning the unconditional love that dogs have shown each of us.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Manage the entire grant application process from start to finish including reviewing and scoring applications, communicating with applicants and veterinary providers, and paying all invoices owed by Dogslife in relation to issued grants
• Monitor spending against budget and ensure expenditures are correctly assigned to program grants
• Maintain database of existing applications and grant recipients
• Provide additional general administrative support as needed, which can include coordinating meetings, researching topics, and maintaining electronic filing system
• Perform other duties as assigned by Executive Director
QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in non-profit fundraising, accounting, and/or operations (preferred) Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, while achieving desired outcomes on time with minimal supervision
Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team Dependable, resourceful, good ethical judgment
Passion for the Dogslife mission of helping families with financial challenges afford critical cancer treatment for their beloved dogs.
