Description
SafeHaven is seeking a Director of PAIP
This position has significant responsibilities, that include participating in and providing initial and ongoing facilitator feedback and training to support best practices in intervention with this population. Provides supervision to interns weekly; supervises and trains interns; and maintains the beneficial field placement relationship and contract with the University of Texas at Arlington.
- Master’s degree in social work or related field preferred. Bachelor’s degree required.
- Licensure preferred.
- Knowledge of Intimate Partner Violence, clinical intervention, and social work (or) counseling theory and ethics.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Proficient in Zoom.
- Able to type a minimum of 50 words per minute.
- Language Skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as emails, faxes, operating manuals, and professional journals.
- Ability to draft reports, correspondence, client notes, and program outlines for the PAIP webpage.
- Ability to speak effectively in front of large groups of clients, referrals, and other professionals.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
- Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints and deescalate situations that may arise.
- Mathematical Skills
- Understanding of and ability to work with statistical data in Excel, and review payments on Stripe.
- Reasoning Ability
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- LMSW, LCSW, or LPC preferred.
- Current Texas Driver’s License required. Must provide proof of automobile liability insurance.
- Frequent exposure to resistant court- and- cps-mandated populations.
- Frequent exposure to client descriptions of physically and emotionally abusive behaviors.
