SafeHaven is seeking a Director of PAIP

This position has significant responsibilities, that include participating in and providing initial and ongoing facilitator feedback and training to support best practices in intervention with this population. Provides supervision to interns weekly; supervises and trains interns; and maintains the beneficial field placement relationship and contract with the University of Texas at Arlington.

Maintains good standing with program accreditors at the Texas Department of Criminal Justice-Community Justice Assistance Division (TDCJ-CJAD). Applies for re-accreditation annually and complies with all policies are requirements for said accreditation.  Maintains good standing with program auditors who subcontract for TDCJ-CJAD at the Texas Council on Family Violence (TCFV).
Maintains good standing with referral sources, including the Tarrant County Criminal Justice Community Justice Assistance Division, in which the PAIP program serves as a vendor through an RFP started in 2016. This position also oversees the Partner Abuse Intervention & Prevention (PAIP) program and its staff.

The specific qualifications for this role are:
  • Master’s degree in social work or related field preferred. Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Licensure preferred.
  • Knowledge of Intimate Partner Violence, clinical intervention, and social work (or) counseling theory and ethics.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Proficient in Zoom.
  • Able to type a minimum of 50 words per minute.
  • Language Skills
    • Ability to read and interpret documents such as emails, faxes, operating manuals, and professional journals.
    • Ability to draft reports, correspondence, client notes, and program outlines for the PAIP webpage.
    • Ability to speak effectively in front of large groups of clients, referrals, and other professionals.
    • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
    • Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints and deescalate situations that may arise.
  • Mathematical Skills
    • Understanding of and ability to work with statistical data in Excel, and review payments on Stripe.
  • Reasoning Ability
    • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
    • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • LMSW, LCSW, or LPC preferred.
  • Current Texas Driver’s License required. Must provide proof of automobile liability insurance.
  • Frequent exposure to resistant court- and- cps-mandated populations.
  • Frequent exposure to client descriptions of physically and emotionally abusive behaviors.
