Reports to: Head of School

• Create a comprehensive school advancement plan with clearly defined objectives, timelines, and division of responsibilities.
• Actively lead the advancement team toward effective execution of the following areas: corporate sponsorships, alumni relations, parent relations, fundraising, special event planning, database management and volunteer management.
• Develop strategic plans for each fundraising initiative, including annual fund and capital campaigns.
• Effectively collaborate with the leadership team and key departments, to ensure the development and growth of the school’s programs and regenerative sustainability.
• Ensures the effective deployment of the Head of School, key members of the leadership team and/or key volunteers in advancement initiatives.
• Promote professional development among members of the advancement team.
• Work with the Head of School in the formulation of an annual school advancement budget and monitor budget throughout the year.
• Effectively collaborate with the Communications/Marketing personnel on institutional branding and messaging materials.
• Serve with Head of School as key spokespersons and advocate for the school, on campus and in the community.
• Collaborate with the Head of School, leadership team, advancement team and volunteers to plan and implement strategies to increase donor and volunteer engagement.
• Serve as an active participant on the Head of School’s leadership team.
• Consistently aligns business objectives with the school’s mission, vision and values.

• Bachelor’s degree required.

• 3+ years’ experience in progressively responsible, non-profit Development leadership positions required, within DFW Metroplex.
• Professional leadership experience with a successful record of communications, fundraising and donor and volunteer engagement.
• Experience securing large-scale gifts from individuals, foundations, and corporations.
• Demonstrated experience executing annual fundraising plan and capital campaigns.
• Ability to apply current trends in Development, prospect discovery, fundraising, alumni relations, and strategic marketing.
• Ability to influence a wide range of donors and key stakeholders.
• Ability to build long term relationships, adapting to a variety of donor situations and expectations.
• Exceptional project management skills; goal driven; detail-oriented; and the ability to set and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

• Master’s degree and CFRE certification preferred.
• Knowledge of and appreciation for Dallas culture.
