DATA SYSTEMS ANALYST

This is a full-time (35 hours/week) position located in our North Dallas offices.  This is a hybrid position, with 2-3 days per week required in office.  The pay rate is $55,000-$70,000.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in data analysis, business analytics or equivalent work experience required.
  • Three (3) or more years of experience in an Analyst or similar role.
  • Experience in Excel with intermediate or advanced proficiency.
  • Experience in Salesforce, Qualtrics, Looker and other data tools.
  • Experience in managing multiple projects .

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Visualization software experience (Tableau, PowerBI, Python libraries).
  • Previous experience with statistical analysis and data cleansing.
  • Experience and knowledge of statistical/analytical tools and business reporting (SPSS, NVivo, Power BI).

Job Summary:

The Data Analyst leads data analytics for multiple internal projects related to membership and multiple areas within our organization and the North Texas community. The Data Analyst is responsible for ensuring the data assets are supported by the data architecture, which aids the organization in achieving its strategic goals and tracking metrics. Key to this role is the ability to interpret and visualize data for the broader organization to understand the story behind the numbers. This position is also responsible for data quality across multiple systems.

Primary responsibilities include: (This list may not include all of the duties assigned)

  • Performs in-depth data analysis.
    • Analyze internal and external data through quantitative research and identify measures that can provide leadership with insights to drive organizational change.
    • Use data to understand and identify patterns and trends across the organization.

  • Shares relevant data in a tangible and meaningful way: 
    • Aggregate data across multiple systems and analyze information sets pertaining to membership, participant experience, volunteer feedback, etc.
    • Identify information needs, determine solutions and develop necessary tools required to support data-driven decision-making and results tracking related to service and program delivery, business metrics and goals vs. actuals.
    • Communicate findings through reports, visualizing information across systems in a cohesive way to help relay the impact of the analysis.

  • Supports the use of and best practices for council data collection systems.
    • Develop reports, maintain dashboards and use data analysis tools related to the information contained in the Enterprise System and Applications (including Salesforce.)
    • Serve as the council’s Looker (data reporting tool) champion by equipping staff with the right level of access and training to utilize the tool. Develop dashboards within Looker to help staff track key initiatives.
    • Promote best practices in data analysis and reporting, including quality assurance of data and guidelines for future data collection

  • Maintains a high level of customer focus and relationship development.
  • Work cohesively with the Director of Impact& Evaluation to ensure we’re evaluating and utilizing data to make informed decisions across all departments.
  • Collaborates with other GSNETX teams to reach organization-wide and department-specific goals.

Other:

  • This is a hybrid position and will require in-office meetings. The preferred home office is JoAnn Fogg Service Center (6001 Summerside Drive, Dallas, TX 75252).
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in data analysis, business analytics or equivalent work experience required
  • Three (3) or more years of experience in an Analyst or similar role.
  • Experience in Excel with intermediate or advanced proficiency
  • Experience in Salesforce, Qualtrics, Looker and other data tools
  • Experience in managing multiple projects 
  • Ability to translate data requirements into non-technical, lay terms
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to quickly understand organization dynamics and commitment to seeing the organization succeed 
  • Ability to think past the data set and solve problems quickly and efficiently to maintain deadlines
  • Ability to work in a confidential environment
  • Ability to display professional maturity and communicate effectively across teams

  • Attendance is an essential job requirement defined as having regular, consistent, reliable, punctual and predictable attendance, including the ability to work regular hours and shifts, before and after hours, and on weekends, when required.
  • Must complete and pass a criminal background check.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Previous experience with SQL or no-SQL databases 
  • Preferred visualization software experience (Tableau, PowerBI, Python libraries)
  • Previous experience with statistical analysis and data cleansing.
  • Preferred experience and knowledge of statistical/analytical tools and business reporting  (SPSS, NVivo, Power BI)
  • Previous experience analyzing data sets from multiple system sources is a plus.
