Job Summary:

Coordinates and supports the day-to-day administration of all aspects of North Texas Area Command’s campaign activity, including coordination of schedules and communication between all stakeholders, and preparation and maintenance of all campaign records, lists, and materials.

Capital Campaign Administration & Communication Responsibilities: (50%)

 

Coordinates with North Texas Area Command Administrative and Development leadership, relative to the campaign.

Manages campaign calendar and coordinates team calendars for meetings, prepare and distribute. agendas and as requested, organize individual donor visit coordination.

 

Responsible for ensuring that all Salvation Army internal capital campaign processes, procedures, and requirements are followed.

Assist the Capital Campaign Co-Chairs and Committee with all support aspects of the campaign, including major gift packages, committee planning and meeting management and documentation.

 

Represents The Salvation Army in capital campaign presentations as needed.

 

Capital Campaign Recordkeeping Responsibilities: (30%)

 

Maintains all capital campaign-related files, records and correspondence as required by Salvation Army policy.

 

Coordinate campaign administration, including reports reconciliation, gift acknowledgments, stewardship activities, campaign communications, donor recognition.

In coordination with the Donor Services team, responsible for all capital campaign donor pledge correspondence from initial set-up of donor pledge files, monitoring and following up with donors on the collection of donor pledges.

Maintains all donor pledge files as required by Salvation Army capital campaign requirements.

 

Reconciles donor actual giving with donor pledges on monthly basis with appropriate reporting to Senior Director of Community Relations.

In coordination with the Donor Services team, ensures all data entry of all campaign donor activity in Salvation Army CRM system, Interchange.

Works with Donor Services team and Finance team to ensure that all required records and information is in proper order and made available for capital campaign audits.

 

Completes, maintains, and provides all documentation required by The Salvation Army to successfully conclude the campaign.

In coordination with the Campaign Manager, maintains campaign dashboard and prospect pipeline to ensure accurate reporting on all capital campaign progress to Senior Director of Community Relations.

 

 

Capital Campaign Reporting Responsibilities: (20%)

Responsible for all required Salvation Army capital campaign reports, including preparation of monthly reporting to be shared with Divisional and Territorial Headquarters.

 

Works with Finance Department and Donor Services team to complete all required capital campaign financial information and documentation.

 

Other Responsibilities:

 

Performs other related work as required.

 

Materials and Equipment:

Personal computer; general office equipment

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Direct fundraising experience and a talent for building relationships both external and internal to the organization.

Exceptional attention to detail.

 

Knowledge of the principles and practices of fundraising. Strong written and verbal skills.

Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evening and weekend work. Knowledge of Raiser’s Edge or other CRM software.

Ability to maintain the security and accountability of donated funds and/or assets.

Ability to perform all duties with an understanding of the mission, ministry, philosophy, culture, and protocol of The Salvation Army and conduct all duties in accordance with the ministry of the organization and its Christian principles; conducts all communications and job duties with the highest level of professionalism and donor care.

 

Ability to apply discretion and independent judgement and exercise confidentiality. Ability to represent The Salvation Army in a positive and professional manner.

Ability to build effective relationships with donors, Advisory Board members and Council members. Ability to prepare and maintain up-to-date donor records, reports, and databases.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, highlighting efficiency in Excel.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Education and Experience:

 Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field, And

Two years’ experience performing fundraising work,

 

Or

 

any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

 

Certifications:

Valid Driver’s License

 

Physical Requirements:

Ability to meet attendance requirements.

Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.

Ability to work under the pressure of deadlines and time constraints.

 

Ability to travel to various locations in order to develop personal relationships with donors.

 

Duties are usually performed seated. Sitting may be relieved by brief or occasional periods of standing or walking.

 

Working Conditions:

Work is performed in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
