Meet Our Panel

Vickie Allen, Chief Impact Officer at The Dallas Foundation

Vickie Allen is a seasoned nonprofit leader dedicated to empowering individuals and organizations to reach their full potential. As Chief Impact Officer at The Dallas Foundation, she leads efforts to implement sustainable, mission-driven grantmaking strategies.

Previously, she served as President & CEO of Educational First Steps and held leadership roles with United Way Tarrant County, Jeremiah Program, and St. Catherine University.

A 2004 Bush Foundation Leadership Fellow, Vickie holds an MPA from Harvard Kennedy School and a BS from Ithaca College. She is an active volunteer and board member of the Harvard Club of Dallas.


Elaina Mule, Director, Community Development Group at Charles Schwab Bank

Elaina Mulé is the Director of Grants & Services for the Community Development Group at Charles Schwab Bank. In her role she helps plan the Bank’s community priority areas, develops philanthropic strategies to maximize impact in each area, and collaborates with multi-sector partners to meet community goals. She enjoys focusing on the integration of human-centered program design, client feedback, and innovative technology to improve decision making about community services and funding.

Elaina has an M.S. in International & Comparative Labor and Labor Economics and a B.S. in Industrial and Labor Relations, both from Cornell University, and was a visiting student in an M.A. program in International Public Policy at Central European University.


Cathy Lee (Kang), Senior Director of Community Impact Grants and Partnerships at United Way Dallas

Cathy Lee is the Senior Director of Community Impact Grants and Partnerships at United Way of Metropolitan Dallas where she manages grantmaking and partnership efforts to support nonprofits in North Texas. Her career in education began as a high school English teacher in Philadelphia. She has worked across schools in Philly, Boston, and Dallas, in both public and charter school spaces, as well as in school administration and the nonprofit sector. She received her B.A. at the College of William and Mary and her Ed.M. at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. She and her husband Raymond love exploring Dallas with their daughter Esmee and dog Nigel.
