BELIEFS:

• Parents are the child’s first and most important teachers
• A child’s most important need is to be loved and respected by his family
• Children have their own unique individuality, which needs to be recognized and respected
• Children begin to learn before they are even born
• The most critical time for learning is from birth to age six when their brain is “being wired”
• Children love learning when they feel successful in their learning
• A child’s ability to learn can be enhanced with the proper developmental steps
• Children have a natural desire to learn, explore and discover
• Children’s learning must be time appropriate, including stopping instruction before mentally, physically or psychologically fatigued
• Children need good basic neurological organization in order to succeed in learning
• Physical coordination reflects mental coordination; i.e. a well-coordinated body facilitates the ability to learn
