Description

We are seeking a part-time Community Relations Coordinator to manage social media and support marketing, communication and fundraising activities. The ideal candidate will share our passion for maternal and infant health and embrace our mission-driven principles. This position plays a vital part in raising awareness and increasing community engagement.

Responsibilities:

  1. Create compelling content for the milk bank’s Facebook, Instagram and TikTok accounts, including posts, stories, reels and videos.
  2. Ensure consistent messaging across all platforms in alignment with the organization's mission and brand guidelines.
  3. Monitor and analyze social media metrics to measure the success of content, providing regular reports and insights.
  4. Assist with fundraising projects and update donor management software.
  5. Assist with special events and community relations projects as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related field.
  2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  3. Strong organizational and time management skills.
  4. Creative thinker with a passion for storytelling.
  5. Proven experience creating social media content and managing social media accounts for nonprofit

    organizations or similar entities.

  6. Ability to create, edit and share multimedia content including video.
  7. Videography and photography skills, including comfort in front of a camera.
  8. Graphic design skills and familiarity with Canva as a social media management tool.
  9. Proficient in social media analytics tools.

Requirements:

  1. Portfolio or samples of previous creative content including Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.
  2. Ability to use graphics design tools on Canva, incorporating an eye for design.
  3. Use of personal phone for social media purposes.
  4. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  5. Problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt to fast-paced changes in social media trends.
