Title: Director, Community Engagement
Supervisor: Chief Community Development Officer
Classification: Salaried
Hours: Full Time
Overview:
The Director, Community Engagement reports directly to the Chief Community Development Officer and is responsible for designing, setting, and executing local outreach strategy, and for ensuring that their market meets or exceeds annual engagement targets.
Responsibilities of Community Engagement Specialist:
- Spread our vital message and build lasting relationships with community members
- Develop a sense of trust and comfort with our community and make an impressionable impact
- Collaborate and strategize effective ways to better educate and engage the community on ACO’s mission and results
- Accept and accurately record community donations
- Attend meetings and virtual conferences to stay current on local events and brand awareness initiatives
- Manage special events
Qualifications:
- Experience in community outreach, volunteering, or community relations
- Passion for people and giving back to the community
- LOVE for going above and beyond the status quo
- Exceptional public speaking and presentation abilities
- team player and ability to build comradery between a diverse group of individuals
