CNM and Charles Schwab Bank partner to offer nonprofits four half-day sessions on financial basics and best practices. Nonprofit professionals will get acquainted with accrual accounting, become pros at financial statements, learn how to process different types of donations, and expertly tackle a Form 990. Each nonprofit may send up to two participants per registration.

Financial Best Practices
- Frequently asked questions on nonprofit tax and accounting related to:

- Tax acknowledgements and disclosures for donations

- Accountable versus non-accountable reimbursement plans
- Various other tax considerations
- Best practices for grant and functional expense allocations
- Practical methods of tracking restricted and conditional donations

Meet your instructor
Chad M. Rosen
Chad M. Rosen is the managing member of CMRosen, LLC, which provides audits, reviews, consultation, bookkeeping, and Form 990 preparation. He is a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor and founded the Nonprofit Accounting Society of Dallas (NASD), which holds regular meetings to discuss and answer questions related to nonprofit accounting.
Chad received his undergraduate degree from UCLA, where he graduated magna cum laude in three years. He received his MBA in finance and his MS in Accounting and Information Management from The University of Texas at Dallas. He became licensed as a CPA after passing all four parts of the CPA Exam on his first attempt.
