Family Gateway’s Vocational/Employment Specialist is responsible for developing partnerships with agencies, employers and community members that can contribute to increasing gainful living wages for adults in families with children experiencing/have experienced homeless. This position will serve families that are enrolled in the following programs: Family Gateway Assessment & Diversion, Family Gateway Overflow, Family Gateway Emergency Shelter, Family Gateway Rapid Rehousing or Family Permanent Supportive Housing (as needed).
Only candidates with prior experience assessing, coaching and helping individuals find employment need apply.
- Candidate should have at minimum a bachelor’s degree in human services/related field; bachelor’s degree and past experience may substitute for human services/related field degree
- Ability to travel to varying locations up to 50% of the time
- Ability to work Monday – Friday with up to (2) evening shifts that would end between 8PM and 9PM
- Ability to work up to (1) Saturday a month
