Recovery Resource Council is seeking a full-time employee to conduct retail tobacco compliance checks and follow-up visits, throughout the North Texas area, to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations; promote environmental strategies aimed at reducing all forms of smoking and tobacco use, including e-cigarettes; facilitate tobacco education presentations throughout the community; and actively participate in community-based networking and coalition meetings. RRC is seeking applicants who possess a passion for the promotion of healthy, drug-free living, with both youth and adults.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree and strong public speaking skills required. Community networking/non-profit experience preferred. Prevention education experience preferred with demonstrated advocacy for the dangers of tobacco use. Knowledge of the dynamics of substance misuse and the continuum of care within prevention, treatment, and recovery is preferred. Associate Prevention Specialist credential/Certified Prevention Specialist credential required within first 20 months of hire. Additional trainings to include CPR, First Aide, Mental Health First Aide, and Suicide Prevention are required. Must have reliable transportation, insurance and valid TX D.L.
