POSITION SUMMARY
At United Way of Metropolitan Dallas (UWMD) the success of our Community Impact (CI) work is dependent upon the efficiency of departmental organizational processes and strategic communication, coordination and collaboration across our impact programs, initiatives, and activities.
To grow this standard, we’re seeking an experienced operations manager to manage department activities including monitoring, analyzing, and making recommendations for budgets across the department, reviewing and coordinating cross department partnerships with and investments in 250+ nonprofit organizations, and identifying opportunities to work more cohesively, efficiently, and effectively.
This position will report to and support the Chief Strategy and Impact Officer and will interface with the Community Impact leadership team, and department leaders across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
- Prioritize, organize, and help condense incoming and outgoing information for the Chief Strategy and Impact Officer (CSIO).
- Monitor and analyze department budgets, identifying areas of overlap, gaps, and opportunities for optimum use of resources.
- Develop and lead regular forum for Community Impact team to share information and discuss challenges and opportunities related to our 250+ NPO partners.
- Coordinate with Community Impact Operations Managers, including Social Innovation, Southern Dallas Thrives, Health, and Strong Start to identify gaps and overlaps and opportunities for better collaboration and alignment.
- Lead contract processes (Performance Engagement Agreements (PEAs), DocuSign, etc.) for all funded entities across the Community Impact department.
- Coordinate requests for CI presentations and speaking engagements for Workplace Campaigns and other events.
- Interface with other departments and teams, including Resource Development, Gift Processing, Finance, Marketing, and IT to gather information, trouble shoot challenges and provide support for Community Impact team members.
- Partner with CISO and Community Impact Team leaders to develop and implement a coordinated program evaluation plan across initiatives, investments, and activities in utilizing the PCCI/Community Vulnerability Compass (CVC) as our common data resource.
- Manage Community Impact team administrative team, ensuring CI department needs for support and assistance are met in a timely manner.
- Ensure excellence, consistency and accuracy in all Community Impact program presentations, reports, and other related information.
- Record meeting notes and assign follow up tasks as needed.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree preferred
EXPERIENCE: Minimum 2-3 years of fundraising and/or work experience in areas of customer service, sales, project administration, managing special events.
