Senior Officer, Annual Fundraising and Event Strategy

JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Officer, Annual Fundraising and Event Strategy, will solicit, develop and implement strategies to support impactful fundraising opportunities—including foundation annual fundraising campaigns, signature events and third party events. This person will collaborate closely with Foundation leadership, clinical leadership and staff, hospital leadership and Foundation major gift officers to analyze specific areas of service line opportunity and develop compelling messaging to fundraise effectively. This position requires significant teamwork and frequent contact with employees at all levels of the organization. It is a multifaceted role that requires the ability to analyze complex data and develop strong, strategic insights and plans to support effective and measurable Foundation goals.

WHAT IS EXPECTED (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

  • Responsible for the development and execution of fundraising strategy to support Foundation’s signature and third party events, including:
    • Celebrating Women—annual campaign in support of the fight against breast cancer.
    • Give to Change—annual employee and board giving campaign.
  • Provide strategic direction for annual appeal strategies.
  • Collaborate with campaign key stakeholders to ensure successful completion of these campaigns.
  • Evaluate progress toward financial goals and make strategic revisions to fundraising plans accordingly.
  • Develop and craft compelling messaging around giving opportunities for donor prospects to ensure effective communication.
  • Support or conduct face-to-face visits, solicitations, and other high-level interactions with donors and prospects supporting fundraising events.
  • Assess giving potential, recommend target ask amounts, facilitate donor asks and develop personalized strategies for sponsorships.
  • Draft custom proposals and/or presentations for individual/corporate prospects.
  • Contribute to relevant campaign stewardship strategies at identified giving levels.
  • Communicate action items, statuses, and potential issues/risks appropriately throughout the course of project(s).
  • Manage budget and track expenses.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Non-profit Studies or other related disciplines from an accredited college or university.
  • Must be a proficient project manager and possess excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing relationships and soliciting donors for support.
  • Proven ability to implement new initiatives, measure and discern progress and adjust to maximize results.
  • Must be comfortable working within a demanding and complex corporate environment with access to highly confidential and proprietary information.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to take ownership for wide-ranging responsibilities.
  • Applies creativity and resourcefulness to projects.
  • Outstanding customer service skills and high expectations for quality.

QUALIFICATIONS

- EDUCATION - Bachelor's or equivalent, Bachelor's very highly preferred

- EXPERIENCE - A minimum
