POSITION SUMMARY
Dallas CASA is seeking an experienced Salesforce Administrator to join our team. This critical role oversees the management and ongoing development of Dallas CASA’s volunteer and case-management system, ensuring its effectiveness in supporting staff and volunteer advocates who work on behalf of children in the child welfare system.
The Salesforce Administrator will be responsible for managing user accounts, creating and maintaining reports and dashboards, troubleshooting system issues, and implementing minor system adjustments to meet evolving organizational needs. By maintaining and optimizing our Salesforce system, this role plays a key part in advancing our mission to improve the lives of children in foster care.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
User Management and Support
- Create, manage, and deactivate user accounts, profiles, and permissions in Salesforce for volunteer advocates and staff.
- Provide technical support and training to staff and volunteers using the system.
- Maintain data integrity and security across the Salesforce platform.
Report and Dashboard Creation
- Design and maintain reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights for staff and organizational leadership.
- Ensure data is accurately represented and accessible for program evaluations and grant reporting.
System Maintenance and Troubleshooting
- Perform regular system audits to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize user disruptions.
- Collaborate with external consultants or Salesforce support when necessary for advanced issues.
System Enhancements and Updates
- Make minor system changes, including configuration updates, workflow automation, and customizations, to meet evolving organizational needs.
- Stay informed of Salesforce updates and features, ensuring compatibility and recommending enhancements where appropriate.
Volunteer and Case Management Support
- Assist staff in organizing and managing volunteer and case data within the system.
- Support onboarding processes for prospective volunteers and applicants, ensuring accurate and efficient data entry.
Collaboration and Communication
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to identify system improvements and implement best practices.
- Participate in cross-departmental meetings to understand and support organizational priorities.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Certified Salesforce Administrator credential (required).
- Experience with Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud (preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of Salesforce administration experience, including user management, system customization, and reporting.
- Familiarity with workflow automation tools such as Process Builder, Flow, and approval processes.
- Strong data management skills, including importing, exporting, and data cleansing.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience training users and creating documentation for system processes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Experience in a nonprofit organization, particularly with volunteer management systems.
- Commitment to the mission of supporting children in foster care.
- Familiarity with other Salesforce tools, such as Marketing Cloud or Experience Cloud, preferred.
- Knowledge of data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI, preferred.
- Ability to promote, protect, and maintain strict confidentiality regarding all case-related and agency-related information, handling sensitive data with professionalism and discretion.
