Recovery Resource Council is seeking to hire a full time dual licensed Master’s Level therapist with Licensed Chemical Dependency credentials, to provide evidence based and trauma-informed psychotherapy and group therapy for substance use disorder to referred clients. This position may involve some evening or weekend hours. Clients served will include clients who meet diagnostic criteria for substance use disorder and may have co-occurring mental health or trauma. Cultural competency with Military/Veterans and first responders and/or Department of Family and Protective Services is a plus. This position provides only telehealth services currently. Proof of full COVID vaccination is required prior to being considered for employment at Recovery Resource Council.
Duties and responsibilities:
Provides evidenced-based treatment intervention to individuals seeking outpatient treatment for substance use disorder, which may include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Systems Family Therapy, Seeking Safety, and Trauma Informed Care. May require some evening or weekend hours. Must be a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), that is “exempt” as defined by the Texas Commission on Alcohol & Drug Abuse. Full licensure is preferred but will consider provisionally licensed clinicians under clinical supervision. Dual license (LPC, LCSW, LMFT as well as LCDC or LCDC-i) preferred but not required. EMDR trained/certified preferred but will consider otherwise qualified staff contingent on completion of EMDR training.
